Akshay Kumar gives us action, romance and comedy, all packaged in the same film, Kambakkht Ishq. The film also features the glamorous Kareena Kapoor and Hollywood stars Sylvester Stallone, Denise Richards and Brandon Routh. Directed by Sabbir Khan, Kambakkht Ishq looks like a great way to spend a July afternoon.
Akshay tells Patcy N why we must look forward to this film, and what is the most difficult thing for him.
What's your role in Kambhakkth Ishq?
I play a male chauvinist pig, who thinks he's right because he is a man, and that he is superior to women. But he is brought down to the ground realities and explained to that women are far stronger, and more intelligent than men.

Meet the cutie in Aap Ki Antara

Zaynah Vastani may be only five years old but she already has a challenging role under her belt -- she plays an autistic child in Zee TV's Aap Ki Antara. The show traces the girl's life, and how her disability tests her family.
Zaynah, who has an identical twin Ziyah, got the part because their mother Havov didn't want her to feel left out. You see, her sister has a film in her kitty.
"Ziyah plays Darsheel Safary's sister in Bum Bum Bole. I didn't want Zaynah to feel left out, so I was waiting for something interesting for her," their mother said. "When she got this offer, we grabbed it because it was for Zee TV. Also, we loved the character. Antara only has to react to situations. There are hardly any dialogues for her, so it's not difficult."

Her last name may be Shetty but that's all Reshma has in common with Bollywood's sexy sisters Shilpa and Shamita Shetty [Images].
The 31-year-old actress, born and raised in England [Images] and the United States, stars in Royal Pains, a television series in the US about a young ER doctor played by Mark Feuerstein who becomes a 'doctor for hire' to the rich and famous.
Reshma plays Divya Katdare [Katdare also happens to be her boyfriend's last name], his over ambitious assistant. And no, she can't speak Hindi.
Born in family of doctors, Reshma initially studied to be a doctor herself but switched majors in college when she discovered she could sing. After graduating from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music in 2005, she landed the female lead in a touring company of the musical Bombay Dreams as well as Rafta Rafta.
But she is yet to use her vocal talents in Royal Pains though she should make her parents happy since she does get to play doctor.
'Everybody in my family are doctors. There was not a woman doctor yet, and I had the grades and all that kind of stuff, but yeah, it's very funny. Other stuff happened, and here we are. Here we are playing kind of a doctor,' she said in an interview to Daemon's TV.
Reshma also shares amazing chemistry with Mark Feuerstein. 'We get along obviously as people, so it's very easy to work with someone who you already feel that you have chemistry with. So that's easy. The characters are very feisty together as you'll see. She's a straight talker. She's the one,' she said.

Arshad, Akshaye get set to con you!

Arshad Warsi and Akshaye Khanna are all set to con you in their upcoming film, Shortkut: The Con Is On. The film also stars Amrita Rao, looking very glamorous and distinctly different from her earlier simplistic look.

Rakhi plans for her marriage on TV

Rakhi Sawanth the girl with a big mouth and assets is all set to marry and settle down in real life. But she is planning for a Swyamvara like in the Vedic period and the pretty lass wants to marry a man of her fans choice.

Rakhi Swyamvara will be a program in which 15 well educated classy bride grooms will [participate and the show is going to be aired on NDTV Imagine. The item girl is going to test the bridegrooms by posing different situations and questions and will rate the grooms according to the wits, mentality, nature and blah blah blah.

The show’s timing is yet to be scheduled and may be aired in the month of May. Rakhi Sawanth is excited by this and hopes for the best man in her life. She will depend on the votes gained by each participant and is going to bank on the trust of her fans who will vote the grooms.

The marriage ceremony will be shown in a grand finale. Rakhi is not a princess, but is she going to get the fame and much needed attention is a big question.

Ash becomes auntyji of Sonam Kapoor

Bollywood is a place where the tinsel town is always buzzing with the actresses and films. The heroes have a bright future if they somehow reach the top position. But actresses have a much lesser life and must gather almost everything which they can earn in their 2-3 years of career.

Aishwarya Rai who once worked with Anil Kapoor has seen his daughter Sonam Kapoor grown up. Now, the actress is tagged as auntiji by Sonam Kapoor as the latter has a typical style of sarcastically humiliating the former.

Recently, in a press interview, Sonam responded to a query of media by simply saying that “ashji ne mere papa ke sath kaam kiya, so aunty huyi naa.” These words immediately reached the ears of Ash who immediately reacted and debarred Sonam from walking on the red carpet at Cannes.

According to sources, Sonam Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai were to walk the red carpet at Cannes, but since Sonam naughtily commented on ash, she was not allowed to walk on the red carpet.

The young girl immediately flew back to India as she thought that this was a ridicules solution for calling ashwarya auntiji.

Priyanka becomes a bumble bee now

Priyanka Chopra recently cleared the air that she was not in love with any celebrity from the movie world and the media was just linking her to everyone everyday. Now, the pretty actress is shooting for her next film “ Pyaar Impossible” and is in Bangkok.

Recently, she incidentally met her former boyfriend Aseem merchant who was on a business trip over there. The two met in a night club and had a hour long chat before departing each other. Aseem was asked about the meeting and he said that it was an unexpected sudden surprise. Priyanka was as usual not available for commenting on this issue.

News is that Priyanka is in a search out for a new boyfriend as Shahid Kapoor is not in relationship with her now and her Hollywood boyfriend Gerard has deserted her for unknown reason.

Saif worried about his uncle status

Saif Ali Khan seems to be a unhappy man in the year 2009. He thought that his beloved kareena will accept for a marriage proposal and will marry him by mid 2009. But this has not happened yet and moreover, with her career in full swing, Bebo seems to be away from marriage issue for almost two more years.

This issue has made Saif Ali khan a bit worried as his age is fast approaching him as he has already reached his 40’s. His children with his ex wife Amrita Singh are growing and are said to be demanding to see their papa in a bridal uniform.

Already Saif’s children are entering into their teens and the nawab is still waiting for the nikah ceremony. It is better if he marries Bebo this year as next year may become too late for his age.

Ranbir and Imraan in Dhoom 3

Ranbir Kapoor and Imraan Khan are said to be the star cast of Dhoom 3 which is all set to release by 2010. Yash raj films who made money with the first movie of Dhoom had a good incoming of money when they made its sequel Dhoom 2.

Recently, there was news that the star cast may be a bigger one for the 3 part and SRK might play a negative role. But Yash raj camp has denied the news that SRK is a part of the movie. They also revealed that the star cast is still in consideration and has hinted that the new generation might get a chance in this issue.

Now, sources close to Aditya Chopra have reported that Ranbir Kapoor and Imraan Khan may get a chance in acting in “Dhoom 3” and this might make the young generation more interested.

Tabu replaces Mallika in “All the best”

Actress Tabu who is having affairs with almost 10 years younger starts to her has replaced mallika Sherawat in the movie titled as “ all the best” earlier it was reported that Mallika will play the lead role in this film, but now the star cast has changed a bit.

It is also reported that tabu has finally taken a revenge on Mallika by fetching the movie opposite to Sanjay Dutt. A few years ago, tabu was first featured as a lead in the movie “Maan Gaye Mughal-e- azam”. As she quoted a mind blowing price for it, the makers decided to replace her and mallika was offered the lead character.

Now after some many months, Mallika has been replaced by Tabu and rohit shetty is paying Tabu only Rs 35 lacs for this movie.

Shilpa turns 35, but still is a sizzling hottie

Shilpa Shetty who had a bitter experience owning the Rajasthan Royals team in the recently concluded Indian premier league has just turned 35 today. She started her acting career in the Hindi movie “Baazigar” which earned her positive reviews while acting opposite to Shah Rukh Khan. In her total film career she acted in more than 40 films in all languages like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.

She made her mark in the hearts of every bollywood fans by her innocent and sincere acting in the movies like “Dhadkan” which was a tremendous hit. She acted with King Khan, Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra and Akshay Kumar. Akki was also her lover once upon a time, but now she has found her soul mate in the form of Raj Kundra who is a divorce and a business man by profession.

Ekta Kapoor is not wiling to marry Karan “Chakka”

Mumbai Crowds form the wild base of bollywood fans and so are always questioned for the new masala stuff. Delhi crowds also occupy the same status as of Mumbai Crowds, but are known for compromising when it comes to their favorite stars. Karan Johan who is well known of directing the movies such as “ Dil waale Dulhaniaya lejayenge” and Dil To Pagal Hain” was gossiped to marry television soap queen Ekta Kapoor.

Many media columns suggested that the pair will look lavish in a professional way as they both are into the stardom. But now, the truth has finally come out. Ekta Kapoor has revealed to her friends that she is not will to marry a “Chakka” like Karan Johar who is tagged as a gay by his star mates.

SRK, Saif, Aamir, Kajol, Kareena, Priyanka and others have already tagged karan Johar as a complex Chakka from his way of talking and walking style. Hearing the wedding news about ekta and Karan the Mumbai crowds booed the relationship and has cautioned ekta not to marry a Chakka like Karan Johar.

So, the soap queen has revealed that she is not willing to marry karan and this was her final statement.
