Abhishek bags a film worth Rs 7 crore!!!

Grapevine has it that a handsome Rs 7 crore has been offered to Abhishek Bachchan for a film.

According to a daily, director Raj Kumar Santoshi is planning rope in the Bachchans for his next film (name yet not disclosed). Yes, it’s not only gonna be Abhishek but Aishwarya Rai and Amitabh Bachchan too. Moreover,a big film corporation will produce it.

Santoshi is definitely on a roll after delivering ‘Ajab Prem Ki…’ hit. Let’s see whether the movie gets to roll.

Sonam Kapoor snubs Deepika Padukone

Ranbir kapoor’s two ex-girlies, Sonam and Deepika, still have their claws out for each other. Ranbir has moved on but these two are still not on talking terms. During the Saawariya days,Ranbir and Sonam were though to be dating each other. But later, Ranbir moved onto Deepika, which obviously made Sonam and Deepika enemies.

The latest buzz in tinsel town is that Sonam was recently approached to act in Rohit Dhawan’s first directorial film Desi Boys, starring Akshay Kumar, John Abraham and Deepika. But Sonam turned down the offer, despite the fact that she was to pair with Akki. And as usual ‘lack of dates’ is the reason that’s being cited for Sonam’s refusal.

Lata regrets having not met King of Pop

Melody queen Lata Mangeshkar has said that she regrets never meeting American singer Michael Jackson, whose first death anniversary falls today.

“Never got opportunity to meet him…ill always has this regret in my heart,” Lata wrote on the micro blogging site Twitter.

Describing Jackson as one of the greatest pop artists, the 80-year-old legend tweeted, “My humble tribute to one of the greatest pop artists ever, Michael Jackson…may his soul rest in peace.”

Trisha to act opposite Pratik Babbar

Trisha, who has just completed her debut Hindi movie Khattha Meetha opposite Akshay Kumar, has signed a new Hindi film .If news are to be believed, Trisha has been signed for a second movie opposite Pratik Babbar. Pratik Babbar who played the role of Genelia’s brother in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na is the son of Raj Babbar and Smita Patil.

The new movie would be based on Trisha’s Tamil superhit Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya, which was directed by Gautam Menon. Gautam Menon would be directing the Hindi version too and Trisha would be playing the role of Jessie. The movie’s shooting is set to start from August this year.

Salman advices Paresh Rawal on personal matter

Salman Khan, Asin, Paresh Rawal and other unit members were shooting for Anees Bazmee’s ‘Ready’ in Sri Lanka. This was when Paresh Rawal got the news that his mother had expired in India. Paresh broke down on the sets. When the crew members asked the vetern actor to return home to perfom his mother’s last rites, Paresh was adamant that he would complete the shooting per schedule and then return for the last rites.

When Salman Khan came to know about this, he quickly met Paresh and asked him to return to India. He explained they would be able to complete the scenes between himself and Asin in the meantime. Paresh finally heeded Salman’s advice and headed back to India.

Saif gets Thinner and Muscular

Saif has lost 9 kgs and is looking leaner, muscular and smarter. He has also cut his hair short. Saif has done all this for his second home production – Agent Vinod, where he plays the role of a spy. It is said that his look is inspired from the hollywood star Matt Damon in Bourne Identity.

Sources say that Saif has been guarding his new look carefully. Unfortunately, when he was invited for Amir Khan’s party, his new look was revealed. Also, Kareena spilled beans about Saif’s new look saying, “Saif has never looked cooler. He has lost nine kilos in three months. He’s all toned and rippling muscles,”

“He was with long hair for so long that I had forgotten how dashing he looks in cropped hair. Saif has got his hair cropped really short, that’s all I can tell you about his Agent Vinod look. He got it done a couple of days back. Since then he was reluctant to step out of his house,” Kareena said.

Aish-Salman continues to rock

On the eve of the release of Mani Ratnam’s film Raavan, there was a recent poll on who looks the best with Aishwarya Rai on screen. Interestingly it was her ex flame Salman Khan who got a thumping approval.

Salman bagged more then 50% percent of the votes, while Hrithik Roshan came second and Abhi third.

Though Aish worked with Salman in just one film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, yet audience seemed to have loved their pair.

Mani Ratnam fights back Big B

Amitabh Bachchan’s cribbing about the poor editing of Mani Ratnam’s movie Raavan, on his blog, made actor Vikram and Cinematographer Santosh Sivan jump to Ratnam’s rescue by saying, it’s a director’s prerogative to decide how the characters should be depicted. Mani Ratnam who was calm till now, couldn’t stay the same any longer has spoken his mind to a Tamil weekly.

“That is his (Amitabh’s) opinion. I am not bothered about it. And I am not here in the industry to get marks from Amitabh Bachchan. We have made a film after two years of hard work. Anyone can comment on it,” Ratnam is quoted as saying by the weekly.

Big B had written “Lot of merited film edited out, causing inconsistent performance and narrative,”.

The superstar had later clarified that he has immense respect for Ratnam.

Katrina becomes picky about her directors

Bollywood’s Barbie doll, Katrina Kaif is in total awe of the Om Shanti Om director, Farah Khan, with whom she is currently working with in the film Tees Maar Khan.

It was a matter of just one ad but Katrina Kaif wanted none other than director Farah Khan to direct it. Kat is the brand ambassador of the Etihad Airlines.

Sources said, Farah’s name was recommended by Kat, to the ad-team. She is very excited with the way Farah has shown her in the movie Tees Maar Khan – chic and sexy in cholis. When asked who she wanted to direct this ad, the actress said it’s going to be ‘only’ Farah.

While for Farah, she is happy to see Kat again.

The ad will be shot in Abu Dhabi.

John-Bips decline offer worth crores

Bollywood’s sexiest couple John and Bipasha declined an offer to promote an erotic product despite being offered with crores. The product is an Indian herbal aphrodisiac which reportedly contains potent philtre and exotic concoctions to boost up a person’s sexual desire. Moreover, sources are quoted as saying that the said herbal aphrodisiac contains Viagra.

The offer, however, failed to grab the attention of John and Bips. The couple is learnt to have turned it down saying they do not usually approve products that contain Viagra.

Bipasha made it clear saying she likes to get associated with credible products that promote health and fitness and such stuff doesn’t suit her personality.

In the past too the couple was approached to endorse sex related products, but they were least interested.

A superhero in a super car

All you SRK fans, watch out for the speedster Shahrukh Khan as he gears up to drive one of the world’s fastest available supercars, the Volkswagen Bugatti, in his film Ra.one. A team of techinicians from the Pirates of Caribbean will teach him to drive the car.

The title of the film Ra.Onewhich is SRK’s most ambitious project till date is short for “Random Access Version One”. SRK plays a superhero named G.One, who drives a super fast car. He will have to perform different stunts while driving this vehical.

A source from the crew confirmed that the decision to drive the VolkswagenBugatti was Shahruk’s. Says the source, “Shahrukh is taking most of the decisions on Ra.one, by himself and the decision to drive the Volkswagen Bugatti was also his.”

Currently, the star is enjoying holidays with his kids and will take them to South Africa for the FIFA World Cup finals. After that he will be in London to resume theshooting of Ra.one, where he will learn to drive the Bugatti and will also shoot for the scenes with the car.

Priyanka Chopra tranforms into an old hag

No, Priyanka Chopra hasn’t turned old overnight. Rather, the 27-year-old beauty has transformed into a 65-year-old geriatric with the help of make-up, for director Vishal Bharadwaj’s film Saat Khoon Maaf.

Priyanka plays the 65-year-old wife to Naseeruddin Shah, her make-up was so very real that even her father, Dr. Ashok Chopra, who was present on the sets, failed to recognize her.

Dr Chopra recounted his experience in utter bewilderment, “I was stunned to see Priyanka. I could not recognise her. I actually went up very close to her to ensure she is the same Priyanka. The make-up artist had done such a fabulous job with her that she looked much older than her mother. Right from her face to her wrinkled hands and feet, she had been transformed into an old woman. “ The proud father who added, “My daughter was a natural and even spoke like a typical 65-year-old.”

In the movie, Priyanka plays all the different stages of a woman’s life from age 18 to 65 years. Professional make-up artists have been flown down from Australia to create all these varied looks.

Deepika goes sky diving

She is not only beautiful but bold; … Recently, the Deepika Padukone indulged in some impromptu adventure, on her last day in Mauritius where she was shootingfor Break Ke Baad.

Fiirst it was scuba diving and now it is jumping off a plane for a free falling experience. Well, Deepika took a plunge out of a plane at 10000 feet. The plane flew to the height of 10,000 feet and from there Deepika and her sky-diving instructor jumped together to feel the absence of gravity.

“Last day off in Mauritius before I head back to India. Guess where I’m headed-SKYDIVING!!rats in my stomach again!”
“OMG!!!! I’m numb! speechless! WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!!! feeling FEARLESS now!!bring it on…  WOW!!!ok I got to stop this..”she tweeted after the skydive.

Imran-Sonam’s pair resembles Anil-Madhuri pair in IHLS

First it was Salman Khan and now it is director Subhash Ghai who seems extremely excited about the film I Hate Luv Storys. He compares Imran-Sonam’s pair to the hit-hit jodi of Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit – the pair that ruled thebox office in the 90s with several hits.

Ghai decided to buy the distribution rights of the film IHLS for the Delhi and Uttar Pradesh area. He bought Karan Johar’s produced IHLS, for Rs 3.5 crore from UTV. Ghai’s cousin Sanjay who looks after his business in the north confirmed this news to a daily.

Sanjay says, “We were thinking of buying the rights of this film for a month-and-half now.” He believes, that they have struck a good deal as the movie looks promising and Imran-Sonam are looking smashing together.

IHLS is set to release on July 2.

Aishwarya Rai rejects Brad Pitt’s offer

Bollywood’s stunning beauty Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, has rejected a Hollywood project, starring the handsome hunk Brad Pitt due to various other commitment toBollywood.

Confirming the news, Aishwarya said, “It wasn`t about an attitude I had, or any inverted ideas about working overseas, it was simply about scheduling. I just didn`t have the time”.

The 36-year-old actress had earlier said no to the Brad Pitt starrer ‘Troy’ as she was not comfortable with the intimate scenes. She even turned down movies like ‘Hancock’ and ‘Seven Pounds’ in the past that had some of the most awe-strikinginternational filmmakers and actors.
