Happy Birthday Aamir Khan…

Aamir Khan turns 46 today. The superstar plans to celebrate his birthday with wife Kiran Rao and other family members.

“I will celebrate my birthday with Ammi (mother), children, Kiran, my wife and other family members,” Aamir told reporters.

Aamir also revealed that his wife Kiran Rao was the first person to wish him today.

The actor is presently busy shooting for director Reema Kagti’s film in which he plays a cop. He is also preparing to play the villain in Dhoom 3.

And the 3rd Golden Kela Award goes to………….

Shahrukh Khan has been named the worst actor for his performance in My Name Is Khan, which also won the Worst Film Award. Known for exhibiting the best of the worst Indian Cinema, the 3rd Golden Kela Awards, hosted by Cyrus Broacha in Rockdome at Ambience Mall in Gurgoan on Saturday, was quite entertaining and shocking as well.

Shahrukh and Sonam Kapoor as the worst actors (male and female). Sonam was named for her performance in the home production Aisha.

If this wasn’t sufficient, the worst film award went to Karan Johar’s My Name Is Khan and the worst director trophy was reserved for Sanjay Leela Bhansali for his Guzaarish.

Arjun Rampal and Kangana Ranaut were named the worst supporting actors (male and female) for their performances in films Housefull and Kites respectively.

The third year of Golden Kela Awards was bigger than before as it received 7,35,697 votes for all the award categories.

However, a few Anti Kela awards were given away to the saving graces of Bollywood like Vishal Bhardwaj for Ishqiya, Habib Faisal for Do Dooni Char, Vikramaditya Motwane for Udaan, and Abhishek Sharma for Tere Bin Laden.

Bebo’s peculiar request….

A very unusual request was made by Kareena Kapoor recently to her Short Term Shaadi director Shakun Batra. The actress requested her director that she wouldn’t eat eggs for a scene, though the script demanded it.

Says a unit source, “Kareena plays a hairstylist in the film and was to shoot a breakfast scene set in a US cafe with Imran Khan. The director Shakun Batra wanted his leading lady to eat scrambled eggs in the scene but she refused to. She pleaded with, argued with and eventually, threw a tantrum.

The director finally gave in. The eggs were substituted by pancakes. And thanks to several retakes, the actress ended up eating as many as 15.”

Says Bebo, “I don’t eat eggs. I gave up eating non-vegetarian food six years ago. I told Shakun we could have me eat eggless pancakes for the scene instead. He was very cooperative.”

She adds that it isn’t a one-off fad. “Even if the scene required it, I won’t have such food. I have laid down that rule and explain my stance when I’m doing any film,” she says firmly

Abhay and Preeti engaged….

The buzz has it that Bollywood actor Abhay Deol has secretly gotten engaged with hisbeauty queen girlfriend Preeti Desai, former Miss Great Britain, whom he has been dating for quite some time.Abhay and Preeti have been dating for quite sometime. It is believed that in the presence of close relatives and friends, Preeti and Abhay exchanged rings.

They met each other at the success bash of ‘Dev D’ in 2009. UK born Preeti Desai shifted her base to Mumbai to make a mark in Bollywood. Preeti and Abhay have been living together in Mumbai after Preeti shifted to Mumbai.

Recently, Preeti hit the headlines for shooting an intimate scene with her American- Indian co- star, Sendhil Ramamurthy for her debut venture, ‘Shor In The City’ to be produced by Balaji production house.

It is assumed that the duo is reluctant to make their engagement public as Preeti has just now kick started her acting career. They feel that the news of their engagement can have a negative effect on their career.

Dabangg Girl won’t get cozy with her co-stars…. Say’s NO to Kamal Hassan..

Getting intimate for a film is a big no for Dabangg girl Sonakshi Sinha. The actress recently signed a film opposite the south star Kamal Haasan. She was the only one whom the actor-director wanted for his next which is a thriller, and guess what, Kamal had tough time convincing Sonakshi for the film.

While Kamal Haasan got his actress of choice Sonakshi Sinha for his next, there will be no lovemaking scenes between the two.
According to a source, “The script did have a few intimate scenes between the two but when Sonakshi explained to Kamal that she doesn’t want to expose or do any suggestive scenes, Kamal understood her viewpoint. Moreover, he had no choice since he wanted only Sonakshi, and no other actress, for the film.”

The untitled film is supposedly a remake of Hollywood film Hannibal. The film begins its first schedule in a few weeks and will be shot in London.

Currently, Sonakshi is busy with Farah Khan and Shirish Kunder’s film Joker

Preity Zinta returns sad and disturbed from the holy pilgrim town…

Preity Zinta found herself in the middle of chaos created by the media while on her pilgrimage to Shirdi. She had gone there for spiritual rejuvenation but came back all sad and deprived, reason: being pushed by the media in the pilgrim town.

“Good morning! Went to Shirdi yesterday and came back with memories of media pushing me instead of the serene face & energy of Sai Baba,” Preity wrote on her Twitter page.

She completely owes it to the media for her spoiled trip.

“In the rut to make anything news, have we forgotten to respect god and someone’s genuine devotion? I fold my hands to the media & request dem 2 Respect us & respect GOD! Not every celebrity goes 2 a temple 4 Tamasha! Some genuinely go 2 pray & 2 disturb them then is BAD KARMA,” she vented out her displeasure.

“I wonder why temples have become so commercial? Why a temple trustee’s urge to be photographed with a celebrity is entertained by media? In front of god, we bare ourselves and look to purify our soul. Instead of feeling uplifted I came back feeling sad & deprived from Shirdi,” Preity wrote.

However, Preity also sees a positive side to her failed pilgrimage.

“Maybe this experience was his (Sai Baba’s) way of taking away all the negativity; & 4 the future I have brought his statue home from Shirdi !  ” she posted.

Preity was last seen in Heroes in 2008.

Salman shocked by Asin’s act….

Salman Khan and the entire crew of ‘Ready’ were left flabbergasted on seeing Asin Thottumkal munching on local Thai insect.

The entire cast and crew of ‘Ready’ is currently shooting in the interiors of Bangkok, in the jungles.
Salman Khan, the prankster that he is, dared his Ghajini actress to try an insect that was flitting around the trees on the location shoot in Thailand.

The unexpected happened. The petite actress took the challenge very seriously. She instantly took the insect, popped it in her mouth, shrugged and went on with her shot, leaving the rest shocked.

The ‘Ready’ team was hardly prepared for Asin’s fearless attitude and was surprised by how nonchalant she seemed about the entire bug business.

When asked about her feat, the ‘Ghajini’ star told a tabloid, “There’s nothing to it… it’s all in the mind.”

Abhishek turns a rapper once again….

Abhishek Bachchan’s upcoming flick Dum Maaro Dum, will see him turn a rapper for a song. This is not the first time though. Abhi was seen as a rapper six years ago for the song ‘Right Here Right Now’ for director Rohan Sippy’s Bluffmaster.

Abhishek is back home after attending the Oscars in the US with wife Aishwarya Rai.

The Jr Bachchan tweeted, “Back in the studio after 6 yrs with chuck masta Sippy. Have no idea why he’s convinced that I can sing!! But Pritam’s killing it!!!!”

Well, the music for the film is being composed by Pritam.

According to a source, the song is a rapnumber with a groovy beat.

Salman Khan’s team set to play the rest of India….

The inaugural match of the Celebrity CricketLeague will have Salman Khan’s team Mumbai Heroes play the rest of India (a combination of the other teams).

The recently formed Celebrity CricketLeague, comprised of five teams, will hold its first match on March 5, 2011.

Suniel Shetty will captain Mumbai Heroes, a team owned by Salim Khan, Salman Khan’s father. Kicha Sudeep will captain the Rest of India team.

According to sources, “CCL brings together all the actors from various industries. There are five teams in the league and Mumbai Heroes has Bollywood actors and filmmakers. Some of the players in the match will be Suniel Shetty, Salman Khan, Shabbir Aluwalia, Ritesh Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani, Dino Morea, Kabir Sadanand, Kunal Khemu and Mahesh Manjrekar among others.
The South team will have Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, Madhvan, Sarathkumar, Suriya, and Vijay etc.”

It would be interesting to see all the biggest stars of the country sweating it out on the playground in Vizag.
