Salman Khan has always played a godfather to new talent in the film industry.

Recently, Salman was at the music launch of Qasam Se Qasam Se and the superstar was all praise for the newcomers Azim and Faith.

Salman put his arms around Azim and introduced him to the media. He even spoke words of encouragement to the newcomer. Azim was first time introduced to the superstar on the sets of Bodyguard.

The glam diva, Aishwarya Rai, was recently on a television show “India’s Glam Diva”. She says that she is very lucky and extremely happy to have worked with different directors.

“I am glad to have worked with different directors on different roles. I had always been greedy to work with different directors on different characters,” Aishwarya Rai said.

“I enjoy music and dance, a fact that you all by now are familiar and I guess it translates to the work I have produced on celluloid,” added the 38-year-old.

Aish is one among the other top-notch actresses who is participating in the show “India’s Glam Diva”, so as to win the win the title. Purely on the basis of public voting, the winner will be decided. Ash’s episode will be aired Sunday on Big CBS Love.

Sonam Kapoor into technology!!

Sonam Kapoor was recently present at the FICCI frames event to light the lamp at the inaugural session.

“There are lot of benefits of such forums… like one gets to know about trends in the film industry, piracy, content, media, technology and various other things.

I think being part of today’s generation I can’t do away with technology,” Sonam told reporters.

She added, “I am happy and excited. This is the second time I have been asked to speak at this forum, but I could not do it due to some reasons. It (FICCI-Frames) is an auspicious occasion and a great one for the film industry,” she said.

Sonam also spoke about the film ‘Herogiri’, which is her sister-producer Rhea Kapoor’s upcoming film.. “My sister is going to make a film based on a book titled ‘Herogiri’.

We have patented the book and this is for the first time that something of this sort has happened. With this, there would be no discussion or issue about the title, or stealing of content or creative idea,” she said.

For the third anniversary issue of the fashion magazine Harper’s Bazaar, the actress has left behind her sarees and has got herself a complete makeover, donning funky attires and variety of hairdos.

Aishwarya to return to film when she feels like: Abhishek Bachchan..

Aishwarya Rai is currently playing mother to her three-and-half-month-old daughter and the actress is very happy about it. She has no plans to return to films anytime soon, says hubby Abhishek Bachchan.

Says Abhi at an event, “As and when she wants to come back, is completely her decision… as and when she decides, when she sees a script she is inspired by – the decision is entirely hers. Currently she is very happy doing what she is doing.”

The 36-year-old was at the launch of Sorabh Pant’s book “The Wednesday Soul”.

Abhishek Bachchan would love to act in a film based on plays penned by young writers.

“I like to read biographies and autobiographies. But there are some wonderful plays out there that a lot of young, Indian talent is writing. I would love to do one of them,” said Abhishek Bachchan.

“I can’t decide which one. Like I said, there is a lot of interesting material being written in India, I would love to delve into that resource to come up with a film,” he added.

Salman found in Kat’s vanity van!!

Salman Khan was found in Katrina Kaif’s vanity van??? What is going on???

Well, nothing is going on, relax!!

The superstar just borrowed her vanity van as his had some technical problem, while shooting for a commercial at a studio. Katrina was far far away from him. Well, she was in London, romancing SRK Yash Chopra’s next film.

What’s interesting or rather surprising is that besides the van Salman was also using Katrina’s black Audi car.

John Abraham out on bail!!

Yesterday we had reported that John Abraham might have to spend fifteen days in custody, following rash driving and negligent driving in 2006. However, the Bombay High Court released the actor on bail of Rs 20,000.

John’s rash driving caused injury to two persons, following which he was convicted by the Metropolitan Magistrate Court at Bandra.
On October 14, 2010, the actor was sentenced to a 15-day jail term. He was granted bail the same day.

The 39-year-old model-turned-actor is currently promoting his first production venture ‘Vicky Donor’, a film about sperm donors

Sunidhi Chauhan to tie the knot…

Reports have it that singer Sunidhi Chauhan is all set to enter matrimonial bliss with budding music director Hitesh Sonik. Well, Hitesh is the guy who composed music for films like ‘My Friend Pinto’, ‘Pyaar ka Punchnama’,and ‘Stanley ka Dabba’.

Sunidhi confirmed the news, “Yes it is true and we will be getting married very soon but we are yet to fix a date. Hitesh has been a music arranger first and is now a music director.”

The singer has had a failed marriage previously. She and Hitesh have been dating each other from the past one and a half years. Buzz has it that the couple are planning to tie the knot sometime next month, in Mumbai.

A source revealed, “Sunidhi has always been very protective about her personal life. Although she was earlier married to Bobby Khan, brother of choreographer and director Ahmed Khan, she has never spoken about it in the media.

Sunidhi has slowly but surely climbed the popularity charts as one of the top singers of the country. She met Hitesh professionally a couple of years back, and the two have been dating since over a year. It was only last month they finalised they would be getting married.”

SRK-Aishwarya in Swades sequel???

Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will share screen space in Swades sequel.

This movie will mark the return of the hit jodi of Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai. Sources claim that the duo after making waves in Devdas, is planning a comeback.

The jodi never worked together after Ash’s then boyfriend Salman Khan created a ruckus on the sets of Chalte Chalte, which was made by SRK’s home production.

But now that SRK and the Bachchan family are friends again, the two might work together on screen.

SRK has even asked his old friend Sanjay Leela Bhansali for help. Shah Rukh and Sanjay had worked together in Devdas which proved to be a major hit at the box office. And now the star has shown a keeninterest in working in another film with him.

Bhansali is keen to work with SRK too. After having made a flop film such as Guzaarish with Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan, the director has been looking for a bigger opportunity with bigger actors.

His earlier film Saawariya too had flopped and his discovery – Ranbir Kapoor – has also been giving him a cold shoulder.

Apart from talks with Bhansali, Shah Rukh is discussing another project with Ashutosh Gowarikar.

Priyanka Chopra wiped off from Kaminey sequel…

While director Vishal Bhardwaj and Shahid Kapoor have joined hands for the sequel. But what came as a shock is the omission of Priyanka Chopra in the second part of the film, a role, which won the actress a numberof awards.

We hear that Vishal is working on the script of Kaminey 2, And the script apparently doesn’t have a role that will suit Priyanka. It is also heard that the flick won’t be a sequel in strict sense but a film with a fresh plot and story altogether.

According to a source, “Vishal is currently scripting Kaminey 2. He will first direct a film with Ajay Devgn to be co-produced by Devgn, Kumar Mangat and himself. He will then start working on Kaminey 2, for which Shahid will have to prepare once again.

Vishal wants Shahid to work on the six-pack look to play one of the twins. Right after Kaminey 2, Vishal will direct 2 States with Shah Rukh Khan for producer Sajid Nadiadwala.”

‘Ra.One’ shoot gets over… SRK all praises for Kareena Kapoor…

Shahrukh Khan’s big budget sci-fi action flick ‘Ra.One’ is finally completed. The actor is all praises for his co-star Kareena Kapoor for putting so much hard work and devoting her time and energy to the movie.

Shahrukh Khan tweeted: “finished the last few bits and pieces of ra.one with kareena. want to thank her for working so hard and fast…she was such a sport. hope we havent tanned her too much in the hot sun.”

Shahrukh, who wasn’t at his ‘tweeting’ best since the past two-three months, is now back on the social-networking circuit owing to the fact that he has finished the shoot of the movie.

We hear that as a part of promotional activities for his superhero flick, the actor is an animated version of his character G.One.

At first, the movie was scheduled to release on June 3 but due to some post-production work, the film will now release on 26th October. Made on a budget of around Rs. 150 crore, the movie also stars Arjun Rampal.

Katrina to host a Birthday bash dobara…

Three years after the infamous party where SRK-Salman clashed, Katrina Kaif is now all set to throw another birthday bash. Seems like the actress has finally let go of her demons, and according to sources will host a grand birthday party next month.

Says a friend of the actress, “After what happened at her birthday party three yearsago Katrina developed a paranoia about hosting a party.

A very private person by nature, she was outraged and embarrassed by what transpired between the two Bollywood titans on her special day.

She wouldn’t step out of her home for any social event for weeks after, so complete was her sense of mortification about the open war between the two Khans at her revelry.”

But now finally, the actress has decided to let bygones be bygones and is all set to throw a grand party, where she wants to invite all the people who make a difference to her life in one way or another.

Says a source close to Katrina, “She wants to leave the nightmare of that birthday party behind and just enjoy the company of all her colleagues. It won’t be a fake party. She won’t invite anyone just for formality’s sake.”

Also, this year her birthday coincides with the release of her next film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. Says a friend of Katrina, “She wants to celebrate, because that’s what Dobara is about.

She had loads of fun with Farhan and Zoya during the shooting in Spain.

They made her lose her inhibitions. The shooting of ZNMD also exorcised Katrina of the demons of the 2008 birthday bash. So yes, Katrina will party.”

Saif-Bebo rubbishes break up reports…

Last weekend, tinsel town was hit by rumours of a possible rift in the four-year-long romantic relationship between Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor.

In a press statement issued through his publicist, Saif Ali Khan says, “Id like to reassure our fans and well wishers that all is well with Kareena and I.”

“We are working hard but we always make time for each other. All these rumors are disturbing and untrue, especially when families are brought into it in such bad taste.

“I wouldn’t like to say anymore except we are very happy together.”

In an unsigned report this morning, the daily alleged that Kareena and Saif’s busy schedule isn’t leaving them with any time for each other. In the past, Kareena used to be the busier of the two and Saif would accompany her when she was shooting away from home. Lately, Saif too has become very busy with Aarakshan and Cocktail and has no time to accompany Kareena.

“The news has deeply disturbed both the couple and their respective families,” says a source. “They have always been open about their relationship and are alarmed with these rumors planted by sources with vested interests.”

Abhay Deol on item numbers…

Abhay Deol is not really fond of item numbers. He in fact, finds them very boring.

According to Abhay, the item songs which are seen in almost every film nowadays are just marketing gimmicks with set formulas.

“It is like if you have to promote your film then you need to have an item number. It is about money, but one must not forget creativity. I don’t find much originality in item songs because you remix old tracks or have a basic hip-hop beat, or you will have hip-hop dancers. And now of course trend is you want white women in the background and the lead stars in the middle,” Abhay Deol is quoted as saying by a news agency.

Abhay has himself sung a song and danced in his upcoming film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.
“You never know… never say never. I am open to doing item songs as long as it works for the film. But I would at least try and make the effort of making the number a bit more interesting and original in terms of visualising and placement,” Abhay said.

Abhay added that he doesn’t like dancing.

“Dancing, I don’t like. It is not something I really want to do. I don’t mind trying singing….But dancing?” he wondered

Mandira Bedi makes Father’s Day a very special one for hubby Raj Kaushal.. Delivers a baby boy!!

Mandira and husband Raj Kaushal have been blessed with their first child, almost eleven years after they tied the knot.The baby was born at Lilavati hospital on Friday, June 17 at 11.01 am. Even though they had a list of names ready with them, they named the baby Vir on Raj’s insistence.

Proud father Raj said, “I am very happy. Mandy and the baby are superb. We are celebrating.”

The news of Mandira’s pregnancy came out in January this year. Just earlier in June, Mandira was seen promoting Stem Cell Banking. She is learnt to have preserved the stem cells of the baby at the time of birth.

Sonam Kapoor is totally mad about Hrithik Roshan’s dance. Making her admiration public, Sonam Kapoor doesn’t really enjoy watching television, but she couldn’t help but make an exception for Duggu.

“I really enjoyed the show. It was spectacular,” the actress, who follows the popular US dance show informs. “There was actually a performance on a song fromJodha Akbar in the US dance show format,”she quips.

Rooting for Hrithik, Sonam says, “I loved his entry. Only he can dance like that. There is no better person than him to judge a dance show.
It’s hard to even blink when you see him dance onscreen. Even his speech was straight from the heart.”

The young actress finds Hrithik’s real life story very inspiring. “Its amazing that someone like him, who was advised by a doctor not to pursue dancing, ended up being the nation’s best dancer.

It just shows you can achieve anything with determination, grit and passion. Those contestants are really lucky to be mentored by him,” she adds.

Speaking about Hrithik’s HR locket that has caught her fancy, the fashion-conscious actress says, “I would love to own that HR locket.”

“I don’t know if I should dance with him but I would love to when nobody is looking. Hopefully, I would get to do a film with him and we will have our own original number,” she giggles.

All’s not going well between Saif and Kareena!!

The long-lasted romantic between Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor has now been riven by work pressure, time constraints, and a few financial issues as well, we hear. They must have discussed marriage on the sets of Koffee with Karan, but as of now, all is not well in the Saifeena world.
