Rakhi Sawant’s realty show titled ‘Swayamvar’ will always remain fresh in our minds. Now this drama queen is all set do a TV show on the lines of ‘Aap Ki Kachehri’ by Kiran Bedi.
Rakhi Sawant said, “I’m not a law graduate to solve the problems. But, I’d show the path towards a solution. That’s enough.”

Right now, Rakhi seems to be very concerned about Salman Khan. She said, “Salman is a nice person. But, everybody who befriends him leaves him later. Katrina Kaif is an opportunist. Initially she was attached to Salman for opportunities. Now she deserted him.”

War between Shilpa and Rakhi scorches the small screen

Bollywood diva Shilpa Shetty, despite having made it big in many events, has never really been a top star.

Recently on the show of ‘Zara Nach Ke Dikha’, The item girl Rakhi Sawantdeclared:

“Even Sachin Tendulkar is out on zero at times.”

Shilpa was clearly stumped, but her co-judge Arshad Warsi came to her rescue.

“When Sachin scores a zero, he is credited zero runs on the scoreboard too. You should keep that in mind,” he told Rakhi.

Rakhi Sawant predicts Rahul-Dimpy break up

Television actress Rakhi Sawant, who had got engaged to Elesh Parujanwala through Rakhi Ka Swayamwar, has said that Rahul Mahajan and Dimpy Ganguly relationship will not long last and very soon, they will part their ways. She says that Dimpy, 21, has become bakra by choosing Rahul, who is 13-years elder than her.

“Dimpy bali ka bakra ban gayi hai. There is a huge age difference between Rahul and Dimpy. I’m sure that this will lead to differences between them. Rahul’s temperament is very volatile and everyone cannot tolerate that. In fact, Rahul should have thought twice before marrying Dimpy because of these reasons. Very soon, you all get to hear that Rahul aur Dimpy ka separation ho gaya hai,” Rakhi added.

Talking about her failed relationship with Elesh, Rakhi further said, “It’s really difficult to choose a life partner through a public poll. I thought of only getting engaged with Elesh instead of marrying him so that I could get more time to decide. But as time passed, I started feeling that he was not the right person for me. He just wanted to marry me because he wanted be part of my glamorous life. Things got so bad that now I really hate him.”

She wants revenge. “How dare the Channel use my mother as a pawn? Last year, it was Rakhi Sawant . So this year, it’s her mother? I could take on the whole house. Let them send me into the house once. I’ll show all these English-speaking snobs what a daughter can do when her mother is insulted. No one can fool around with me. But my mother is a simple housewife. That poor woman is being completely isolated by the other contestants.”

And Rakhi, though not on talking terms with her mom, won’t take any slight to her lying down. “How can they isolate her because she can’t speak English? We come from the chawls. My grandfather never sent my mother to school. She is a poor, uneducated housewife. I wonder how she put those two signatures on the Bigg Boss deal because she can barely sign her name.”

Rakhi is specially upset with Tanaaz Currim. “Tanaaz is behaving extra-smart. When the housemates did the Mummy-Daddy act, Tanaaz completely ignored my mother. And do you know, when I meet Tanaaz's mother I’m very polite and respectful?”

Rakhi blames the channel for using her mother as bait. “They thought Rakhi is comig on Pati Patni Aur Woh, so let’s put her mother on another show. I had no idea my mother was invited to Bigg Boss. Whatever our personal differences I don’t want my mother to be put in a compromising position,” says Rakhi and accuses the other housemates for discriminating against her mother.

“There’s definitely bhed-bhav against my mother. Nine contestants voted against her out on the second day. I’m frantically calling up all my friends and fans to vote for my mother,” says Rakhi, who has just bought herself an office in Lokhandwala.
“It’s in the Kamdhenu complex. I’m very proud of it. From there I’ll start my production house. Whatever money I’ll make on the reality shows I’ll use to produce my serial on the Bible. As it is I’ve realized movies don’t pay. I got only a token amount from Yashraj Films for Dil Bole Hadippa. And on top of that, my role and my dances were cut drastically. So why should I not do television where I’m the queen?”

You seem to be in a pitiable state in Pati, Patni Aur Woh...
I feel I’ve been through hell. Once Swayamvar got over, I thought with this show, I’ll get to know Elesh (Parujanwala) better. But it didn’t turn out to be what I thought it would be. Taking care of a child like Jay is a huge responsibility. So far, I knew how to dance, act, but had no clue what it takes to clean a child’s bum. Elesh only added to my misery. The only areas he could prove his worth were dishwashing and romance. I had to do the rest.

Seems like you are preparing the ground for starting your own family...
It goes without saying that I’ve matured a lot. I’m more hands-on with the daily chores of married life. In fact, I’m so attached to the child that I’ve even refrained from giving interviews to the media when my kid was crying. At the same time, I’ve consciously tried to not bond much. In the past, everyone I’d loved — my father, mother and even boyfriend Abhishek — left me. Main zindagi se aur zyada umeed nahin rakhti. Yet when certain couples would fail to look after their child on the show, I would be very annoyed. But starting a family doesn’t top my list of priorities. I’m rather scared now. I’m not marrying in the next three years.

It’s speculated that your relationship with Elesh is over...
I’m a little upset with him. If I’m putting in my cent per cent, I expected Elesh to put in at least 70 per cent. But it goes without saying that Elesh is a nice man. Lekin hamesha achhe log apke liye utne achhe nahin hote. He did nothing for the child. Moreover, his Hindi skills are suspect. Usko Hindi ayegi toh hi toh woh bachha kuchh seekh payega!

But then, Elesh and you did kiss on the show...
I had warned him at the very beginning that I’m an Indian girl and closeness before marriage is not acceptable in our culture. He agreed. But there came a time, when he knew that there’s no way I could run away from the show. It’s then that he kissed me. Let’s accept that I too am a human being. If Elesh touches me, I’m bound to respond. Main koi barf nahin hoon. Rather, I’m a volcano. After kissing, Elesh told me, ‘Sorry baby, you are my fiancée’. In fact, four times he had joined our beds and four times I had separated them.

The show ran into trouble what with the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights sending a notice to the makers asking them to stop its telecast on the pretext of child rights violation...
Now, this is really stupid! If parents don’t have any problems, why should anyone else? The other day, Jay’s mother called up to thank me as the child has got an offer to be part of a film. In fact, I was the one to tell her that she shouldn’t be pressurizing her child at such a tender age! There are a lot of shows, which have child actors/anchors. The same rules should hold true for them as well. I think certain people are trying to gain mileage out of protesting against the show.

My mother has bagged the offer to be part of Bigg Boss because she is my mother! People don’t know what I’ve gone through as a child. I don’t regret not having invited her to my swayamvar. We are both on level ground now, with she not having told me about taking part in Bigg Boss. She’s going to realize my worth and understand how difficult it is to earn money. So far, she has only treated me like a moneymaker. Since 10, I’ve been earning money. I not only paid my college fees, but also that of my brother’s. I even got my sister married. At some point of time, I would serve food at wedding for a meagre Rs 100. God bless my mom. I still feel for her. Just that I’m never going to return to her.

Jaya, who used to work as nurse to bring up her kids, was quite an unexpected participant on the show considering her strained ties with daughter Rakhi, who was a part of the show in the first season in 2006.

While Rakhi didn't care to invite her mother to the finale of her recent "Swayamvar" show, the latter was upset that she (Rakhi) was taking the decision about her life partner without her family's consent.

"I thank the general public for understanding me. I am confident that I will be able to handle everyone on the show," Jaya told Bachchan before entering the "Bigg Boss" house.

She recalled how Amitabh had given her a Rs.200,000 cheque for her mother's well-being in the 1990s. She said: "For the world you may be a superstar, but for me you are god. You had helped my mother when she was ill and she gave you a lot of blessings."

Dressed in a flashy, red, green and gold sari, she seemed ready to give her famous daughter a run for her money with her melodrama.

The third season of "Bigg Boss" is quite high on glamour with celebrities like Poonam Dhillon, Shamita Shetty, Aditi Govitrikar, Sherlyn Chopra, Tanaaz Currim Irani and Claudia Ciesla featuring in it.

However, with other contestants like music composer Ismail Darbar, actor-director Kamaal R. Khan, actors Vindu Dara Singh, Bakhtiyaar Irani, fashion desinger Rohit Varma and stand-up comedian Raju Srivastava, the list of men on the show failed to impress.

The first episode of the show saw Bachchan ushering in the 13 celebrities into the specially designed house in this hill station.

While all the participants will be closeted in the house for three months under 24-hour surveillance with no access to telephones or television, Bachchan will host the show on the Colors channel.

The show will air in a prime-time slot Monday-Friday but Big B will appear only in the elimination episodes every Saturday and Sunday, communicating with the contestants through a TV screen. Each week, one contestant will be voted out.

The winner will walk away with the grand prize of Rs.1 crore.

Apparently, Rakhi and Elesh were caught on camera getting cosy and intimate during the shoot of NDTV Imagine’s reality show Pati Patni Aur Woh. During the shoot, Rakhi was made to wear an empathy belly to have a first-hand experience of pregnancy. She felt the effects of pregnancy like morning sickness, swelling of feet, backache, etc, but she was touched by the concern Elesh showed. He took good care of her and ensured that she was comfortable. Elesh earned brownie points from her, by doing the household chores to ease her burden. Within a few hours they let their emotions get the better of them.

Rakhi plans for her marriage on TV

Rakhi Sawanth the girl with a big mouth and assets is all set to marry and settle down in real life. But she is planning for a Swyamvara like in the Vedic period and the pretty lass wants to marry a man of her fans choice.

Rakhi Swyamvara will be a program in which 15 well educated classy bride grooms will [participate and the show is going to be aired on NDTV Imagine. The item girl is going to test the bridegrooms by posing different situations and questions and will rate the grooms according to the wits, mentality, nature and blah blah blah.

The show’s timing is yet to be scheduled and may be aired in the month of May. Rakhi Sawanth is excited by this and hopes for the best man in her life. She will depend on the votes gained by each participant and is going to bank on the trust of her fans who will vote the grooms.

The marriage ceremony will be shown in a grand finale. Rakhi is not a princess, but is she going to get the fame and much needed attention is a big question.
