Kangana Ranaut, the girl who has the curves to flaunt, will be seen in a two-piece bikini for Sanjay Dutt’s first home production titled Rascals.

The movie will be directed by David Dhawan and co-produced by Dutt’s good friend Sanjay Ahluwalia.

Confirming the two-piece bikini news, Sanjay Ahluwalia said, “The scene, to be shot in Bangkok, is Kangna’s introductory scene. She is shown coming out from water.” Watched Casino Royale, Sanjay?

News is that Kangana bought the bikini herself from London. Reveals a source, “It’s a very revealing piece. Kangna will set the screens on fire.”

This scene would also have Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn; ogling at Kangna.

Kangna down with Malaria

Looks like the rains are playing spoil sport on the health of Once Upon A Time In Mumbai beauty, actress Kangana Ranaut. Reports have it that the actress is down with Malaria. Kangana has been advised by the doctor to take complete bed rest and not to step out of her house. Her illness has all her shooting schedules kept on hold.

Bollywood sweetheart, Salman Khan has found a new friend in Gangster girl Kangna Ranaut. This has currently become the HOT topic in B-town.

Grapevine has it that this new friendship has fetched the actress a role in an untitled flick opposite Salman Khan. The film is a Hindi remake of Manjerkar’s Marathi film Mee Shivajiarje Bhosle Boltoy. While it was obvious that Salman would cast his all time favorite, Katrina Kaif in the lead, he shocked us once again by announcing his current favorite Kangna Ranaut as his leading lady in his home production.

Not very long ago, after the success party of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, Kangna was seen leaving Salman’s apartment at the wee hours of the morning. Perhaps, it was because the actress went there to discuss about the film, as revealed by one of the insiders.

The story of ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI has some reality in it. Kangna has admitted that the character of Rehana which she plays in is indeed based on a real actress who existed in the 70s. Her name was Sona and though no one knows where she is today, she was the love interest of Haji Mastan (a Mumbai based don on whom Ajay Devgn’s character is based).

“Well, I have been told that Haji Mastan was in love with this girl called Sona”, Kangna says in a hush-hush tone, “She was a Madhubala look-alike and a struggler during the 70s. She had worked in this film called KACHCHE DHAAGE that starred Vinod Khanna and Moushumi Chatterjee. When Haji Mastan and Sona met, they became romantically involved. He even went on to make a movie for her.”

While producer Ekta Kapoor and director Milan Luthria are officially not quite declaring ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI to be the real life tale of Haji Mastan or Dawood Ibrahim, it was pretty much obvious to one and all that the comparisons were not coincidental by any means. The question that was fast making the rounds was that whose story was being played by Kangna Ranaut? Is it Meena Kumari or Mudhabala by any chance???

“As such there is no particular reference point. As for the actresses that you mention, how can you even think of that? Haji Mastan and Madhubala belonged to a different period altogether. While Haji Mastan was active in the decade of 70s, Meena Kumari used to act during 50s and 60s. There can’t be any connection at all so where was the question of my character being based on Madhubala at all?” said the actress.

Kangana turns bride on the ramp

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut was the showstopper on the ramp for fashion designer J J Valaya’s show on the third day of Pearls Infrastructure Delhi Couture Week. Bejeweled and bedecked as a bride, she looked stunning.

Kangana stepped on the runway in a red bridal lehenga-choli which was designed by Valaya. It was designed so beautifully and flawlessly, that people couldn’t stop raving about it after the show.

Kangana herself was pretty impressed by the outfit.
“After JJ dressed me up for the show, I looked at myself in the mirror and told him, ‘You are going to design my wedding outfit’,” Kangana told a news tabloid.

Kangana sizzles on the silver screen

Kangana Ranaut is on the roll these days. This talented actress who has shown her potential in films like Gangster, Raaz and has even won National Award for her stupendo fantabulously fantastic performance in Fashion, will soon be seen in director Milan Luthria’s Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. She will be playing the role of a Bollywood actress from the 70s who is girlfriend of an underworld don played by Ajay Devgan.

Director Milan Luthria can’t stop chanting praises of Kangs who is the leading lady in his film. He feels Kangana brings sensuality and glamour to screen and is ‘undervalued’ by the industry.

“She is immensely talented but has yet not touched the highest spot. But we’ll see her there in a very short while,” Luthria tells a news agency.

Well, Kangana performances does speak volumes about her. Kangs is mostly seen doing sad and disturbing roles. Let’s see if she will be able to do justice to her glamorous role…

Kangana works hard for One upon a Time in Mumbaai

Kangana Ranaut will soon be seen in Balaji and Milan Luthria’s Once Upon a Timein Mumbaai. The film set in the 70’s is a rewind to the era of romance, smuggling, cabaret and the mafia .A time when women had a liberated air to them, were fearless and bold.

Ajay Devgn’s love interest in the film, Rehana, who is bold and bohemian in style, is played by Kangana Ranaut

Says director Milan Luthria,

“Kangana lends herself because she has a great body which does not look vulgar and her face is chameleon-like – she can change into different looks everyday. There is a lot of her in the character Rehana.”

Kangana who worked hard on her look in the film studied the fads and trends rampant in the 70’s not just in Bollywood but even in the West.

“Kangana’s costumes were designed by Manoshi Nath and Rushi Sharma. She has done a lot of research on her role in the film, she even went on to sketch out a preferred hairdo’s, accessories, costumes and the works for her look in the film,”adds a production source.

Balaji & Milan Luthria’s One upon a Time in Mumbaai starring Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi and Kangana Ranaut is all set to release worldwide on July 30, 2010.

Kangana Ranaut turns 23

It is going to be a working birthday for actor Kangana Ranaut. The actor, who turns 23 today, will not even be in Mumbai to spend the day with her close friends as the sets of the film are in Karjat.

She will be spending the whole day on the sets of Farhan Akhtar’s movie Crooked that also stars Abhishek Bachchan.

She has been getting birthday wishes from March 20 itself as a website has wrongly mentioned it. She had also been receiving lots of wishes from radio stations in Dubai which are dedicating songs to her.”

Kangana Ranaut gets Rs.5 crore for a film

Ever since she won a National Award for Fashion, Kangna Ranaut seems to have decided she won’t be selling herself short any longer.

She recently demanded – and got – Rs 5 crore for a film which is to be directed by Tanvir Khan, who last directed Deadline.

Sources said,“Kangna has come a long way from the days of her debut film Gangster. Directors realise her potential and have no qualms in giving her the fee she deserves.”

However, Kangna, on her part, said, “I can’t discuss my fee.”

Kangana Ranaut has come out with a statement, after media went berserksplashing photos of her and Dino Morea kissing each other at Sanjay Dutt’s anniversary bash.

Talking the kiss, Kangana says, “I know Dino for a while now. We’ve met socially and even had a few laughs but to make it seem like there is something more is terrible.”

Kangana insists that her kiss with Dino was very harmless and is not passionate kiss as portrayed by the media.

When the talk shifts from her kiss to her relationship with Dino, she says, “I’m done with relationships.I have 10 movies to complete this year, and will perhaps take on another dozen next year. What I’m trying to say is that I’m completely swamped by work. I have no desire to get into another relationship. I’m done with those.”

Kangana also adds that she won’t date now, she will only marry, “Marriage is what it will be. I may marry three years down the line or perhaps even five years down the line. But I’m certainly not interested in the dating scene.”

Dino-Kangana get naughty at Sanjay Dutt’s Anniversary bash

At recently held Sanjay Dutt and Manayata Dutt’s anniversary bash at their home, Dino Morea and Kangana Ranaut indulged in some serious public display of affection.

A source present at the party says, “It was a well attended affair and several couples like Shilpa and Raj Kundra, Sunil and Mana Shetty, Fardeen and Natasha Khan, David Dhawan and wife Lalli, besides some others like Kirron Kher and Amar Singh were present. Dino, who made an appearance sans his steadiest girlfriend Nandita Mahatani, had lots to talk about with Kangna Ranaut. Before long, they were chatting away so intimately that it was difficult to believe that this was their first proper meeting at a private party.”

The source adds, “During the course of the evening, Kangna was seen mostly around Dino and they were overheard discussing movies, especially their common interest in Hollywood films. Dino flattered her with many compliments about her best roles. Interestingly, when they both decided to leave at the same time, they hugged each other rather warmly and the peck on the cheek was as hot as it gets. In the lobby, as they waited for their cars, a happy Dino couldn’t resist hopping on a kiddie car lying there, which made Kangna burst into delighted laughter.”

Kangana is in love again, and she is seeing Hrithik Roshan’s new co-star Spanish actress Barbara Mori’s brother Kintaro Mori.

A source says, “Kangna began bonding with Kintaro even when she was dating Adhyayan Suman. Her close friendship to Kintaro is said to be one of the major reasons for her and Suman’s breakup. The duo have been spotted all around the town – be it at dinner or at nightclubs.”

Their closeness first became the talk of the town when they were seen necking at Hrithik Roshan’s residence on his birthday. The Mori boy is pursuing his dream of becoming a singer, and has moved his base to Mumbai. He is a stranger to the city, and Kangna is one of his close mates.”

“After her recent break-up with Adhyayan and a disastrous past with Aditya Panscholi, Kangana wants to take this relationship slow and doesn’t want to rush into any kind of commitment.”
