Dabangg star, Salman Khan’s controversial remark about the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, being hyped because it was an attack on the elite, set the Shiv Sena on fire and was met with angry protests from all over.
Now that Sallu has apologized for the comment he made, the Sena has become compassionate towards him, calling Salman and his family ‘patriotic’.
“There is no reason for us to harbour anger against Salman. His family is nationalist and patriotic in true sense,”
Sena chief Bal Thackeray wrote in an editorial in party mouthpiece Saamana.

The Sena chief went on to add: “Salman apologised after the furor in the country. He must have realized that the furor was not by the rich but by the common masses.”
This is not the first time that Thackeray has praised Salman’s family. In the past too, Thackeray had showered his praises on Sallu’s family for being secular and celebrating Hindu festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi and Janamashtmi with fervour.
