It was a moment of pride for the Bachchan family when Amitabh Bachchan walked up the stage to receive the National Award for his stellar performance as a 13 year-old-kid suffering from progeria in son Abhishek Bachchan’s home production Paa. It obviously must have felt great to be honoured by the President of India. 
Abhishek Bachchan also won the award for ‘Paa’ as the film’s producer. The film was named the best Hindi film.

Aishwarya Rai, Jaya Bachchan and Abhishek’s sister Shweta Bachchan-Nanda and her industrialist husband Nikhil were present at the function held in New Delhi.
